Beginning October 15, 2014, we will have a weekly support group for expecting and newly delivered new moms. There is a great need for some new moms to get support during their pregnancy and after delivery. Motherhood is full of the unexpected and new moms are full of hormonal fluctuations, doubts, and questions. Sometimes moms experience depression after they deliver their baby. Often moms feel forgotten because their new born gets all the attention once it makes its entrance into our world. New responsibilities, new routines, lack of sleep and feeling somewhat displaced by motherhood can all be a bit much to deal with at times.
Want to give an essential gift to your wife, sister, daughter, or maybe to yourself?
Great Expectations is a moms group to help with the stresses, questions and emotions that come with pregnancy, childbirth, and mommyhood!

For clients who participate in The Daily Walk, this support group is free!
Support is critical for families with newborns. Sometimes couples don't seem to communicate as well after the baby and the baby needs to be communicated about constantly. Sometimes there are differing expectations of parenthood in general and many times new dads try very hard to understand what their partner is going through as a mother, but it is HARD.
Engagement Matters wants to assist by offering a support lifeline during the last months of pregnancy and after the baby is born. Cindy Taylor, Christian Life Coach can help with individual challenges that moms might face and help mom get the resources she needs. There is no reason to feel overwhelmed and alone. This support group will include group support from other moms, and individual coaching from Cindy, as needed. The cost for the group is $200.00 for two months of group and individual coaching. The participants can choose how long they wish to participate in the group, but what is recommended is last month or more of pregnancy and then a month or more after delivery. This helps to develop a relationship that can be helpful with the stresses of new motherhood. Also, if mom has had problematic pregnancies or has experienced post partum depression, physical issues, or is alone for her delivery (eg. military deployment) then this concept is definitely suited for her. Just having someone to talk to when you feel lonely is important. Many times women report feeling somewhat isolated and sometimes displaced by the baby. That is when we want to help.
